sleds2buy.com
It's the new web site that has been designed by snowmobilers
especially for snowmobilers to buy and sell snowmobiles, trailers
and atvs.
The only cost is the cost to list the units - there is no percentage
that is paid by the buyer or seller.
The best part?? The revenue is returned to ACSA and the State
Snowmobile Associations!!
Every State Association should have this site linked, so only a
click of the button is required. If your State Association does not
have the link, contact them….because they are losing money.
Postcards were just sent to every dealer in the US. This web site is
also a vehicle they can use to move used and non-current inventory.
The web site will only work if you use it - check it out...www.sleds2buy.com.

Supporting
our Soldiers
We started promoting the Take a Soldier's or His Family
Snowmobiling in late summer/early fall. This has taken off in a
few areas across the country. It's not too late to get plans going
for a program like this.
We are also promoting the idea of every snowmobile club "Adopting
a Platoon". This is a really easy and inexpensive way to support
our troops. The post office will deliver the appropriate boxes right
to your door and it costs $8 to ship.
Plan ahead and have club members bring items to fill the box at a
club meeting - and include snowmobile reading material!! The
soldiers will be forever grateful.
With all of the privacy laws, getting the names and addresses has
become a little challenging - but not hard. Every state has a
National Guard Family Assistance Center, you can google your state
and you will find the contact information. They will give you all of
the information you need.
You can also contact the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs
in your State - speak with the Public Affairs Office. They can you
give you the information or direct you to the appropriate person in
your state.
Yes - you're too late for Christmas….but Valentines Day, St.
Patricks Day, and Easter are all around the corner. And who says
your thoughtfulness has to centered around a holiday? The soldiers
are there for very extended periods of time……so receiving a package
at any time is appreciated.
If you have trouble finding the information you need, please contact
the ACSA office - we'll help you.

Washington,
DC and Budgets
The House and Senate will recess this week and will return to their
districts mid-January.
Before the two houses recess however, they will complete the fiscal
year 2008 budget - a little late since the year officially began on
October 1st - but they were hampered by veto threats to most of the
13 appropriations bills.
Although the Forest Service received $35.4 million for the
recreation above the requested amount by the administration and an
additional $11.1 million for trails, the amounts still do not reach
the desired amounts.
